"My old pads were spent on my Shimano XT rear brake. I got a lot of time out of the Shimano pads. I let them get so bad, I went for a ride, did a wheelie, attempted to use the brake, and ended up in my back! So I found some new Tektro take off brakes from my son's bike, replaced my pads with the Tektro. Worked well enough, but not great. Then I ordered these Cycle 1st pads, popped them in ..whoa! What a difference! My rear brake works so good now, and better brake control. These seem to hold up to heat well too. I need to order a set for my front brake now so I have similar braking feel front to rear. After trying these, I'd love to see what the more expensive ceramics are like. I gotta say, these pads are great so far, and at a price point that makes it even better."
